The coming-of-age film was directed by Cooper Rife and stars Andrew, an aimless 22-year-old college graduate who starts working as a caterer for bar and bat mitzvahs. He also meets and befriends an elderly woman named Domino (Dakota Johnson) and her daughter Lola (Vanessa Borgard). If you’re in the mood for a feel-good movie, this one delivers. It also won the Audience Award at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival.

Greyhound, starring Tom Hanks as a US naval commander, was well-received upon release and – unlike most modern films – runs 90 minutes. Intense, well-acted, well-produced, and Oscar-winning for its sound, Greyhound is perhaps one of the best movies on Apple TV Plus.

Fight for your right to party with the Beastie Boys, Mike Diamond (Mike D) and Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock) as they tell their musical story, and 40 years of friendship with Adam Yauch (MCA). Directed by their longtime collaborator Spike Jonze, this “live documentary experience” is a fitting tribute to these rap legends.

On The Rocks brings Sofia Coppola back with Bill Murray for the first time since A Very Murray Christmas. It is a father-daughter drama. It’s a little more breezy than Coppola’s usual work, but it seems to suit Murray, whose engaging and tiresome performance elevates the entire project.

Fireball: Visitors from Darker Worlds (2020)
This stunning documentary examines the cultural and scientific impact of meteorites and craters on Earth. This is complicated but compelling stuff. The film interviews people like Norwegian jazz guitarist Jon Larsen, who describes the feeling of holding a micrometeorite: “No human has ever touched anything older. It’s literally eternity in sight.” One particular opening we see near the beginning of the film is absolutely beautiful.

Nature is healing. No, really — this isn’t about those hilarious early 2020 alligator memes Floating on pool noodles or cats Ride the carousel. When humans abandoned cities, parks, oceans and many other places during the 2020 Covid quarantine, all kinds of wildlife benefited. The Year the Earth Changed, narrated by the legendary David Attenborough, shows that we owe it to whales, penguins, cheetahs and a host of other animals to interfere less in their lives.
